An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the St Michael’s Prep team to help shape the transition of systems and processes, improving the effectiveness of the HR function and offering the staff an improved first-class support service.
The successful applicant will work closely with the HR Manager and experience of working in a previous school setting would be advantageous but is not essential. Strong HR administration skills are essential as the role will cover a broad range of HR administration including many aspects of recruitment, onboarding, induction, training, absence, changes to terms and conditions, leavers, work experience and liaison with activity providers and contractors. The successful applicant will also be involved in supporting our payroll and pensions administration processes.
We are embarking on a new project to streamline our recruitment and HR systems, therefore an opportunity to become involved with this from the early stages is available. Previous experience in an HR role and excellent IT and communication skills are essential. This is a varied and busy role requiring the ability to work flexibly, prioritise your workload and be open to change; no two days are ever the same!
This is a busy and varied role working Monday to Friday with the working pattern to be agreed with the HR Manager depending on workload; flexibility to support interviews which start early or finish later would be required from time to time. Holidays are predominantly taken in school holiday periods.
We reserve the right to interview and / or appoint prior to the closing date.
